Krista's Do It All Office

November 20, 2020|building of the month
Red barn-style shed with a black roof in a backyard. Two chairs, a hammock, and an umbrella are nearby. Lush green trees in the background.

Krista Finished TB-700

With four teenagers inside the home, Krista knew that there was not enough space to work and live.

“When everything shut down, we realized that there was just not enough space inside our home for all of us with work, school, and in our down time,”

laughs Krista. Inspired by all the home offices she had seen online, she started putting together the plans for a home office of her own.

Modern home office in an attic with a desk, computer, lamp, and shelves. Insulated walls and a decorative bulb enhance the cozy atmosphere.
Cozy attic space with bean bags, colorful pillows, a patterned rug, and ambient lighting. A window lets in natural light.
Home gym with exercise bikes, a treadmill, a rowing machine, and a weight box. Brick walls and windows showing greenery outside.
A dog stands on its hind legs looking out a window, while a person with crossed legs relaxes in a dimly lit room with a TV showing a scene.

For Krista and her family, Tuff Shed was the first choice. While they are all pretty handy, Krista knew that building a shed and finishing out the interior was too large of a project.

“In the end, we wanted a building that was installed for us and had the quality we needed. Between Tuff Shed’s quality and the financing options at Home Depot, it was exactly what we needed,”

says Krista. She chose a 12x18 TB-700 complete with an interior loft for more usable space.

Using a Project Loan from The Home Depot, Krista was able to purchase her new shed and all the finishing touches for the inside all at once. “Honestly that made this entire home office project really helpful. With the money that I was paying for a couple gym memberships, I was able to get a whole office, home gym, and space to relax right at home.”

That’s right, her project loan payments are nearly identical to monthly gym memberships. Krista’s new barn houses her home office, gym equipment, and even a couple of different areas to relax. The barn works great for her office hours and when she’s not making use of the space, her teenagers have found it to be their new favorite place to spend time. Now that’s a do it all kind of home office.
