Tuff Shed Hits the Big City: He Shed vs. She Shed on FOX Plaza

Tuff Shed® is back in the bright lights! We packed up a couple of sheds and headed to FOX Plaza in New York City for an exciting DIY challenge with Skip Bedell. His task? Transform two identical sheds into two unique backyard retreats—a She Shed and a Man Cave—and the results are packed with great DIY ideas.

The sheds started as 8×12 TR-700 models, each customized with their own set of options and upgrades. Skip’s challenge was to create two dueling spaces: a cozy She Shed retreat and a rugged Man Cave workshop.

Our She Shed is all about curb appeal, featuring transom windows, shutters, and a window box. Inside, Skip added custom wall designs from Barron Designs and filled the space with cozy, stylish furniture, creating the perfect backyard getaway.

The Man Cave is built tough, complete with double doors, a heavy-duty ramp, pegboard storage, and a wraparound workbench. For extra functionality and fun, Skip added a flatscreen TV, mini fridge, and even more custom touches with Barron Designs wall panels. Natural light pours in through additional windows and skylights, making it a bright and inviting space to work—or relax.
