Bethany needed a separate structure to hold her horse equipment, and her plans for a new tack room were fairly simple. “Tuff Shed buildings are the go to sheds when you need a tack room, so I knew exactly what I needed.” Bethany and her dad, Randal drove to The Home Depot and found the perfect future tack room in the form of a 6x12, TR-700. After the building was installed, Bethany got to work making the space her own.

While searching for décor inspiration on Pinterest, Bethany started putting together a dream tack room. “I knew I wanted to add bead board to the walls, because I love how it makes a space look really clean.” Bethany wanted to make sure her new tack room was a comfortable space since she would be using it often. “I found these great ideas for storage and a bench online and knew that’s what I wanted.”

Bethany found all the carpentry help she needed from her dad. With Bethany as the creative lead, Randal worked to turn her Pinterest board into reality. “He’s a natural handy man and even when my ideas started getting more complicated, he was ready to help.”

With the addition of sheetrock, bead board, and a little white paint, the tack room started taking shape. Bethany originally planned to paint the interior a bright color, but after starting with a base of white paint, she fell in love. “It looked so bright and inviting, so I changed the plan.” Bethany added a bench along the back wall with extra storage inside, as well as wall storage and a drawer unit. When everything was built and painted, she got to work decorating the interior.

As a professional equestrian photographer, her work is displayed on the walls inside the tack room providing the perfect personal touch. Bethany also added some cushions, pillows, and other accessories to bring the space together. One of the pieces that really shines is the DIY bridle rack that Bethany built.

After creating a tack room that looks this great we’re sure that Pinterest needs to take a few ideas from Bethany.
